I got to celebrate another milestone birthday on the 26th day of March. Roberta made it extra special. Once again I noticed the acceleration of time since the last birthday. But, at least I got to notice! It was a great day, a great event, and I got to celebrate with some great people: in person, on zoom, and on face time!
We attended the Minnesota Twins game when they hosted the University of Minnesota. The Gophers got beat but they did themselves proud until they ran out of pitchers.

A good jog on ones birthday is good for the body AND the soul!
Our family refers to our home in Florida as #9. This entry shows some of the social encounters we have had and helps to describe winter life in Florida as a SNOW BIRD! It is really fun to have travelers stop or call us when they navigate through the southwest of the state. Please do so

Golfing with the Cranes!
A couple of sand hill cranes joined our golfing foursome last Monday morning at the second hole. These magnificent birds didn't seem to mind our presence as they probed the ground for Wheaties and grubs. At least they didn't miss any putts!

We were visiting with some friends in the aisle of the stadium when five MN Twins employees came over and joined our conversation. After a few minutes they asked Grandson Bobby if he would be willing to climb on the Twins dugout after the second inning and attempt to answer some University of Minnesota baseball trivia questions. He agreed, and Nate and he had a two minute discussion about the Gophers and Twins. Bobby answered all three of his trivia questions correctly but all he got for his accuracy was a round of applause. It was fun watching him on stadium television!

This is the weekend of the Colonial Classic Golf Tournament. The Golf Pros added a novel touch to this year's festivities: They sold golf ball numbers to anyone who wished to purchase one. Then, on Friday afternoon, they got a Sheriffs Department helicopter to fly over a temporary flag in the middle of the 18th fairway and drop all the golf balls. The lucky winner was the person whose golf ball landed closest to the temporary pin in the fairway. The winner pocketed some of the proceeds and the rest went to charity! The number of golf balls numbered in the thousands!
