It's Birthday Time at the Black Slough!

Eighty-one years seem like a long time.  But only if you're looking ahead.  In retrospect, not nearly so long!   We couldn't wait to taste the cake!

Keep surprising us, O Regal South Dakota.

We await your next natural spectacular!

The Land of Infinite Variety!

And, that didn't take long!

The Christmas Tree on Hole #9 at Colonial Country Club has a slightly different appearance that those pyramidal pines in South Dakota.   But the ornaments relay the same meaning as those up north.

I hope you enjoy the following POT POURIE!

My party was poorly attended! But, I got to choose the entre for dinner.  A Lotza Motza Pepperoni fit the bill quite nicely. Covid isolation isn't as bad if one has good companianship!

And I'm not referring to the pizza.  Thank you Roberta!

Ah yes!  South Dakota spring seasons never cease to surprise a person.   The vast assortment of weather conditions continue to produce unexpected beauty.  On an April Wednesday afternoon the grass was greening, the  Black Slough was open, and a light rain was falling.   As the sun peeked through the clouds a spectacular full-arc rainbow formed to the east of our home.

The next day a cold front moved in on a brisk north wind,  the temperature went below the freezing mark, and a light snow, rain, sleet combination fell.  The results are shown on the next photo.  But, our electrical infrastructure withstood the challenge and we did not lose our power.

Not really specifically South Dakota, but I had to show you the photo I took of the SUPER MOON on April 7, 2020.  Anyone see the golf ball?

And now it is wait for some Covid control, wait for some sunshine, wait for some green grass, clean the golf clubs, rake the lawn, and ready the fishing boat.

Christmas in Florida

Another sight that begs attention is this Float-up boat wash on the Caloosahatche River.  I wonder if the attendants towel dry your vehicle?
